Once again, I bring you a random collection of stuff I've made.
Crab and green onion quiche, courtesy of Kathy from Cooking on the Side.
Some layered potato thing. It wasn't very good, except for the top layer.
Some sort of spiced glazed chicken. Meh.
Spicy tomato and blue cheese soup, from Leite's Culinaria via Desert Candy. Served with a grilled cheese sandwich, of course. I like that you can see the steam.
Macaroni and cheese (blue box) with ground beef, courtesy of my Youngest.

hey, Your food seems tasty. But I have an advice for you: Make it LOOK tasty. Please don't take this the wrong way, but you should read this http://veganyumyum.com/2008/09/food-photography-for-bloggers/ and maybe you learn something. Wish you luck!!!
Tina - Seriously? I blog for myself, not for you. If I get a good picture, great. (I've been published a few times on Tastespotting and Foodgawker). If the pictures aren't so great, it doesn't bother me. Thank you for visiting.
Hi Vicki, always love random series! Thanks for the post.
Ah man that was the most random and skewed comment ever.. You gave the most perfect answer though. BTW, I love all food photos. Some of my favorites are ones I took from my first cell phone with a camera back in 2001.
Hi Dennis - Thank you :) I'd much rather look at pictures of real food from real people - some of the things I see on TS are so over-contrived, too white, too bright, that you lose the point of the FOOD.
Hm, it all looks good to me. ;) What was "meh" about the chicken? It looks awesome, it has great color.
Hey Bob - The chicken looked like it would taste really good, but the thighs were kind of fatty, making most of the skin inedible (at least to me), and the marinade didn't really penetrate the meat. Maybe I'll try an overnight marinade next time, instead of just a few hours.
So glad you enjoyed the quiche! It was the best thing I've made this year, I think :-)
Hi Kathy - Thanks for sharing the recipe, it was pretty darn tasty!
