Two Product Alerts

First, an Awesome Product Alert:

Trader Joe's Hatch Chili Bread. Chewy crust, good crumb, a little spice. Perfect for topping with, well, anything.

Second, a Not-So-Awesome Product Alert:

The San Diego Soap Company Honey and Blackberry Hand Soap. It's a good soap with a good fragrance, but given the name, I was expecting something locally produced. Upon further inspection, I see it's distributed by Universal Products in Clinton Township MI, and made in China. Local fail.

Made in China? What a disappointment after thinking you'd found a lovely local made product!

Hi Ari -
I know! It's rather depressing.

Want to know something else, look on Savannah Bee Company and look at there hand soap- its the same as the san diego hand soap honey and blackberry. I have the san diego soap company hand soap and thought the label looked familiar, well its the exact label as the savannah bee company label, just go to their website and see for your self. I am a beekeeper and I produce and make all of my own products and this really pisses me off.

Hi Anon -
I can't speak for Savannah Bee Co., as I know nothing about them, but you're right, the labels do look similar. But if you'd care to email me about your company, I'd be happy to do a Product Alert for your products.
