Big A$$ Steak

Look what was waiting for me when I walked in the door:
















Can you believe the size of that thing? I started by cutting off the larger half, and saving it for lunch tomorrow (steak and eggs with slow roasted tomatoes, anyone?). I ate the remaining part, and the dogs got to nibble the bits from the bone. Happy me. Happy dogs. But now I feel a steak-coma coming on, and need a nap.

That's some steak!

I love me a day two steak sandwich, with a little arugula and some horseradish. I'll order a big steak in a restaurant sometimes just so I can do that.

You've made me seriously reconsider my steak and eggs plan. It might have to be a sandwich instead.

You can also do a steak salad, perhaps with deviled eggs. This is a common lunch the day after a big steak.

OK, here's what I just finished: toasted everything bagel, sliced steak, garlic mustard aioli, avocado. Mmm...
